This executive position is responsible for the functions of the Madison County Personnel Department.  The person in this position reports directly to the Madison County Personnel Board and various local elected public officials.  The director oversees recruitment, selection, placement, diversity programs and training for employees of the Madison County Commission, the Madison County Sheriff and certain other local elected officials.  The director is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures and overseeing employee benefit programs. Work involves public relations activities and frequent contact with the public and departmental officials. Responsible for compliance with Alabama Act No. 941 and all applicable State and Federal laws.
