The City of Enterprise,Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Chief FinancialOfficer/Treasurer.  The Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer assiststhe Mayor, who is the chief executive officer of the City, with financial andaccounting issues as to the City and its various personnel and departments.The Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer coordinates the development of the city’sannual operating and capital budgets; conducts budget hearings; monitors andanalyzes cash balances, revenues, and expenditures to ensure compliance withbudget and management objectives; prepares forecasts and revisions asrequired.  Directs all aspects of theFinance & Accounting functions of the City. Provides leadership in thedevelopment for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategicfinancial objectives. Ensures credibility of City by providing timely andaccurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts. Provides executive management with advice onthe financial implications of City business activities. Manage processes forfinancial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting of theCity.  Provides recommendations tostrategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities of theCity. Acts as Treasurer of the City and keeps accurate records of funds toreflect the City’s accurate financial condition.

Position requires a combination of training andexperience equivalent to:  Graduationfrom an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting,finance, economics or related field as well as a graduate level degree in accounting,finance, business Administration or related field. Possession of a validdriver’s license.  At least fiveyears of municipal or business administrative experience preferred.  Abilityto work non-standard hours such as nights, holidays and weekends.
