Elmore County is accepting applications for the following full-time position: Accounting Manager Under the supervision of the CFO, the Accounting Manager oversees the activities of the accounting staff. In addition to these oversight duties, the Accounting Manager is responsible for various reconciliations, preparation, and review of journal entries, staff work review, monthly reporting, annual reporting, and assisting in regular audit functions of the Commission. The Accounting Manager also assists with the management of a comprehensive accounting program that integrates Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB), statutory accounting requirements, and departmental fiscal policies and procedures. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for leading various accounting-related special projects as required. In addition, the Accounting Manager analyzes accounting data and coordinates operational analyses of accounting systems, subsystems, and procedures. This position coordinates the accounting operation with the CFO. The Accounting Manager represents the financial interests of the Commission in accounting-related interactions with other parties, such as banks, vendors, external auditors, and management staff of other governmental entities. Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field and four (4) years of professional accounting experience is required.
