TheProject Coordinator for Community and Economic Development is responsible forsupporting community and economic development initiatives in East Alabama. Keyduties include grant research, writing, and administration for the East AlabamaRegional Planning and Development Commission (EARPDC), member governments, and501(c)(3) organizations. The role involves implementing strategies to attractand retain industry, and assisting with redevelopment programs. The coordinatorreports to the Director of Planning and Development.

WorkResponsibilities:

  • Researching and writing grants.
  • Administering grants and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Engaging with member governments and nonprofits on grant projects.
  • Assisting with policy compliance and economic development research.
  • Maintaining knowledge of development practices and compiling technical information.
  • Preparing project proposals and maintaining community data.
  • Acting as a liaison for member governments and nonprofits.
